Wisconsin State Fair to Solicit Proposals for 2012

The Wisconsin State Fair will solicit proposals for midway operations for the 2012 Fair.  The review process will begin soon after this year's events have concluded.  According to Patrice Harris, Director of Public Relations & Communication for the Wisconsin State Fair Park, no decision has been made at this point as to the type of contract relationship that will be proposed.  The fair board intends to explore a number of options including a single contractor or multiple contractors for the midway.  The goal of the State Fair is to elicit new and fresh ideas.  More information to follow.

The 2010 Wisconsin State Fair is set for August 5 through 15.  Spectacular Attractions (Murphy Bros. Expositions) are bringing in the Comet II, the largest portable steel roller coaster.  Alongside the Comet II will be over 50 other rides provided by Spectacular Attractions in both the Jack's Pizza Midway and Kiddie Kingdom.
